Bob & Carla Schaap Painting Holidays

Bob and Carla Schaap are happy to welcome you in the sunny south-east of France, to enjoy a very special painting holiday in the beautiful countryside of the Tarn. Their "Château de Pourpry", an italian style mansion built in the 1920's, is situated on the top of a hill surrounded by its 40 ha domain.

From the château's terraces one enjoys marvellous views on the valley of the river Agout. Nearby villages, like Servies and St Paul Cap de Joux give access to the river. Somewhat further on, one finds Puylaurens, one of the region's market cities. Puylaurens also provides impressive views on the countryside and the city itself is a paradise for artists.

From the many possibilities to make painting trips in the surrounding countryside, we just mention the example of Albi. In the medieval centre of Albi visiting the impressive "fortress" Cathedral and the adjoining museum, with its surprising collection of drawings and paintings by Toulouse-Lautrec, are events you wouldn't want to miss.
